Breast Friends Foundation of Osborne & Mitchell Counties was founded in 2012. With the desire to help those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, Dee Winkel and Chelsi Remus held the first meeting on January 26, 2012. From there, a team of volunteers and members emerged.
The original goal of the foundation was to assist and morally support those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. After realizing the need for other cancer victims, the foundation decided to help those with any type of cancer.
Breast Friends Foundation plans to help those who are fighting by simple encouragement. Such as, sending cards or flowers to those who are going through treatment, or sending a care basket with socks, magazines, and other small gifts that can be used during chemo.
We hope to emphasize our motto 'No One Fights Alone'. We we want those who are fighting to know that there are many friends standing behind them. Even if we don't know them personally.
